This website’s downloadable tools serve well when your transition window is short—two weeks, a month, even same day. For transition windows of more than six-eight weeks (from the point of “announcement” to the actual move), consider using any of the services described below. We can engage quickly. TALKING (It’s free!)
Let’s have a conversation. What transitions are most likely coming up for the people in your group? We’re glad to chat about a realistic process for knowledge capture and help with tool selection.
We have suggestions for using and combining the tools—with options for independent work, working with partners, or collaboratively-curating the contributor’s knowledge bank in small discussion groups.

PULL OUTS AND CUSTOMIZATION
The questions in any of the Duly Knowted tools can be customized—you choose how much.
For a reasonable fee, we’ll begin with one or more of our tools and go with light edits. We can split question-sets for more focused applications, incorporate questions provided by your team, or assemble completely new tools.
We can create or adapt questions and debrief tasks to your industry, your organization, special just-completed projects/programs, or specific contributors.

COACHING
The Duly Knowted tools structure the capture process, saving time for managers and coaches. Always helpful in short, slightly stressful transition periods!
If the transition schedule permits and if you’re already working with internal coaches, partners or consultants, we’ll orient them to the tools and the possibilities.
Or, we can meet directly with a departing contributor by telephone for one or more short sessions to talk through tool questions and develop a plan for distributing and “activating” the information collected.
A good coach or OD/training manager is already skilled at asking questions. In knowledge sharing, coaching is a great way to pull up the detail, dive into special skills, or later—convert captured knowledge into short training pieces.

TOOL BUILDING
Our favorite!
As a short consulting project, we’ll virtually work with a two or three-member team from your HR, OD, or Talent Development group to develop a set of capture tools for your ongoing use. For example, we might create a package consisting of tools for general departure, project debrief, onboarding, and leave of absence.
We start with parts of our tools or build from scratch, customized to specific roles or transition types.

OFFBOARDING PLANS
Our guidelines and checklists guide managers as their people move through transitions, especially departures. Our recommendations are customized to include other departure protocols your organization has in place (e.g. exit interviews) and to reflect current cultural practices.
